in its fight against Russian aggression

Stand with Ukraine

Russian troops attacked Ukraine on Thursday, February 24, at 5 am on the orders of the current President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
As the invasion unfolds, the scope of human suffering and loss is expanding. Your help can change the future of the whole nation.

  • Call it War

Spread the information about the brutal Russian invasion into the sovereign territories of Ukraine and call it how it is — a full-scale war. Russia applies a substantial share of its efforts into misinforming citizens and the world about their aggression toward our state.

So this war is also about the words used to describe what's happening in Ukraine right now.

Verify that your information comes from trustworthy sources like CNN, the BBC, the Guardian and Reuters

Tell your friends, local representatives, followers on social media about what's going on and use #StandWithUkraine to support our country.

  • Provide shelter

If you can provide a place/couch, which can serve as a shelter, reach out to your local efforts to help meet, host, or provide supplies to Ukrainians seeking help abroad.

Plus, Airbnb has offered its support to house refugees from Ukraine. So you can either become a host yourself or help by donating funds to the initiative.

  • Join International Legion to defend Ukraine

Russian invasion is not only about Ukraine. It's about trying to destroy everything civilized societies have fought for centuries: freedom, democracy, equality, human rights, and the rule of law.

By committing horrendous crimes against humanity, the Russian government shows the world they don't value the only thing that can never be reimbursed — the human life itself.

If you feel like these values mean so much to you that want to fight the aggressor alongside Ukrainian soldiers, here’s how to join the forces:

  • Contact the Embassy of Ukraine in your country to join the International Legion of Ukraine about what documents to prepare (come in person, call the embassy or send an e-mail)
  • Come for an interview with a defense attaché with a package of documents
  • Write an application for admission to the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for contracted military service
  • Get instructions on arriving in Ukraine, the documents, and the equipment required
  • Cross into Ukraine in a designated manner and join the Foreign Legion of Territorial Defense of Ukraine by signing a contract
